I've always loved the rain. Ever since I was young. I loved the way it poured down on me, washed away impurities, cast the sky into a dark shadow. It was thunderstorms I loved the most, the raging noise that most people feared. It called to me, let me know that I was different from all those people who just tried to hide from everything. And it was in a thunderstorm that I met him.
Evan was unlike anyone I had ever met before. He was open; he didn't try to hide himself. I remember I was just standing there on the pavement, staring up into the sky, wanting the clouds to part and just take me inside. That was when we met.
"Hey!" he said, waving a hand in front of my face.
I was completely drenched, water dripping from my long black hair, my black clothes clinging to my body. I stared at him in amazement. His eyes were amazingly blue, piercing and shocking. His hair was long, blond with the tips dyed black, and he was just a little bit taller than I was.
"Y'know, it's kinda cold out here. You're soaking wet and you might catch hypothermia."
Just those sentences sent an instant heat through my body, and I looked away from him.
  "I... like thunderstorms."
He smiled at me, a smile that melted my very heart.
"Me too, but I don't want to find you in hospital one day because you've been out in a storm like this."
If my cheeks weren't red now I'd die from blood loss. This person was being so kind and considerate to me; it was unbelievable. He touched my cheek with his finger and showed me how it was black. Shit; my make up was running.
"You wanna come back to my house and get dried off?"
I found myself nodding without even realising it. For some reason I instantly trusted this person, and felt safe. He placed a hand on my back, beckoning for me to follow him.
"I'm Evan, by the way. What's your name?"
"I'm Elliot. C-call me El," I said, shivering. He was right; it was cold.
Evan seemed to pick up on this. "We're almost there."
He was right. We hadn't been walking for long when we came to his house. It was quite a large house, pleasant, and I realised that it was quite near to mine. There was still a 'For Sale' sign outside.
"Oops, keep meaning to take that down," Evan murmured. "We've just moved here. I came outside to see if there was anyone I could talk to, then it started raining, and then I found you," he explained happily.
He rummaged around in his pocket and found the door key, inserting it into the lock and turning it. I followed him inside, removing my shoes as he had done and accompanying him upstairs. He entered the bathroom and grabbed two towels, throwing one to me and drying his hair with the other. I followed suit, and also wiped the smudged make up off my face. But now that my hair was dry, the rest of my body shivered even more in my wet clothes. Concerned, Evan came over to me.
"Cold? You'd better get out of those wet clothes."
Do not be a pervert, I told myself. He didn't want you to strip for him, he just wanted you to get warm again. I nodded, and began to slip my arm out of my T-shirt.
"Urh, I'll get you some dry clothes," he said hastily, and left the room.
I removed the rest of my clothing, apart from my underwear, and wrapped the towel around myself. Evan soon returned holding some black jeans and a T-shirt, passing them to me while trying not to look at me. I raised an eyebrow, and he blushed, which surprised me.
"I'll... go put your clothes on the radiator."
"Okay."  He hurried out of the room again, leaving me with an amused expression on my face. Drying myself more thoroughly, I changed into the clothes he had given me, noticing how they fit me perfectly.
Changed, I left the room to see Evan pacing up and down the corridor.  "You okay?" I asked.
"Of course I am. Are you?" Nearing me, he touched my arm. It gave me goosepimples. "You're cold as ice."
"I'll be okay. I always am."
I didn't think he looked completely convinced, but he nodded.
"Let's go downstairs and put the fire on..."
He took my hand, our fingers lacing together. It surprised me, but I didn't pull my hand away. He led me down the stairs, into the living room where he instructed me to sit down. As I did, he lit an actual fire in the fireplace. It was soon warm and crackling, and Evan sat himself next to me. It was impossible to tell if what we were sitting on was a huge chair or a tiny sofa, but our legs touched unavoidably. We both noticed it, but didn't do anything to stop it.
"So... tell me about yourself," he said, looking into my eyes.
"I suppose I'm just... normal. I'm 15, I live a few houses away, my parents are currently away on a business trip... I like rock music... I dunno. What about you?"
"Pretty similar to you really. My parents are also away on a business trip, I'm also 15, and I... I think I'm gay."
I said he was open. I can't say this knowledge surprised me - he had been acting quite strangely before - and I had never seen anything attractive in the majority of girls.
"I-I'm sorry if I freaked you out," he said quickly.
I shook my head. "Don't worry about it. I'm probably gay too."
I could almost feel his heart leap. I didn't have to look at him to know that he was blushing.
"Well... I've always wanted to find out... Y'know..."
I instantly understood what he was getting at, and blushed myself. I also felt amazed; someone wanted to kiss me? I looked up at Evan.
"I... I suppose it couldn't hurt to find out..."
We turned to face each other, having to be in a position where I was on his lap in order to be close enough. Strong arms encircled my back, and I placed my arms around Evan's neck. Slowly, tentatively, our heads moved closer together and our eyes closed. Our mouths simply touched at first, but then that morphed into a kiss. It wasn't a full on, tongue kiss, but it was still the best I'd ever had. Though, I had only really been kissed my parents, and a girlfriend I had briefly. I liked this kiss more.
Slowly, we pulled our mouths away from each other's.
"Was that..." Evan breathed against my mouth.
  "Good?" I finished.
We didn't answer, but pressed our lips together again. I opened my mouth slightly, and his tongue slipped inside. I groaned, wondering how this could feel so amazing. The grip I had on him tightened, and I was pulled closer to him. This soon turned into more than just kissing; we were practically making out, me on top of him.
We both knew when to stop, and did so, panting for air.  "Gay?" I asked.
  "Yeah. Go out with me?"
  "Fuck yes."
If just the kissing was this good, I couldn't wait to find out how good other aspects of this were going to be.
I stayed at his house that night. Nothing more intimate than that kiss happened, and I woke up in his arms the next morning, smiling as I looked out of the window to see the storm still raging.
Thunderstorms were even more special to me from that day.
I wrote it when I was off sick from school. It's... interesting.

(I can't remember the last time I willingly wrote a non-yaoi story... Eep!)
